The Everest Base CampTrek 2020 (EBC HIKING) has been famed from when Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa made the first successful summit in 1953. It is the most famous and challenging trek in Khumbu region. The trek is famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and friendliness of its inhabitants (Sherpas). This trail is a connection with Island peak climbing the Island peak was renamed "Imje Tse" in the early '80s, though its original name is still more popular. The mountain was named "Island Peak" in 1952 due to its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an island in a sea of ice. Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m)
Day 02:Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding (2,652 m/40 minutes flight) 3 - 4 hours trek 3 - 4 hours
Day 03:Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3440 m) 5 - 6 hours
Day 04:Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day
Day 05:Namche Bazzar to Tengboche (3,870 m) 5- 6 hours.
Day 06:Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m) 5 - 6 hours
Day 07:Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m/4km) 5 - 6 hours.
Day 08:Lobuche - Gorak Shep (5,170 m) - Everest Base Camp (5,364 m ) - Gorak Shep 6-7 hours
Day 09:Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) and back to Lobuche (4,940 m): 7-8 hours
Day 10:Lobuche to Kongma La (5,535 m) to Chhukung (4,730 m): 6-7 hours
Day 11:Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp (5,200m): 3-4 hours
Day 12:Pre-Climb training on Island Peak Base Camp
Day 13:Island Peak Base Camp to Summit and back to Base Camp (5,600 m) 10-12 hours
Day 14:Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche (3,985 m) 5-6 hours
Day 15:Pangboche to Namche Bazaar: 4-5 hours
Day 16:Namche Bazaar - Lukla (2,800 m) 6 - 7 hours.
